Smith Brothers extends sponsorship support
Following on from our recent backing of the Huyton Juniors’ Under 9s, we are delighted to continue our sponsorship streak with two more sports-related ventures!
The first was a charity Golf Day run by energy efficiency firm Anesco, which we were thrilled to be able to support and attend. Budding golfers from the Smith Brothers team, Andy Horrocks and Allan Booth, took to the green to demonstrate their sporting prowess and, more importantly, get behind a worthwhile cause.
An annual event organised by Daniel Cohen, Anesco’s director of connections, the day was in aid of the Quaggy Development Trust – a great charity dedicated to improving the lives of children and families. Daniel’s daughter Cheralee worked there until 2011, when she sadly passed away at the age of 20, and he has since raised more than £20,000 for the trust. So, we were delighted to be able to help out by sponsoring this year’s event.
Alongside the all-important tees, there was also an auction and raffle, that helped to raise further funds for the valuable organisation. It all went towards an amazing total of £7,355 – an amount that is still climbing!
But that’s not all for our recent sponsorships – we’re also backing An Evening with Frank Bruno, which is an exciting black-tie charity event taking place on 31st August at the Ramada Park Hall Hotel in Wolverhampton.
Organised by TitanBox in association with the Nigel Harris Sports Foundation, the evening will comprise of a champagne reception and three-course dinner, followed by a charity auction and photo opportunities with Frank Bruno himself. There’ll also be a dancefloor, so we’ll be practicing our best moves at the office in preparation…
