Smith Brothers shortlisted for Electrical Review Excellence Award
We have the power!
We’re delighted to reveal that we have been shortlisted for the inaugural Electrical Review Awards, in the Power category. As one of three finalists within this group, we’ll be up against Turkish manufacturer AKSA Power Generation and infrastructure provider Vertiv for the coveted award.
The announcement follows our submission of a very detailed entry, exploring the extensive engineering work we conducted at Drayton Manor Solar Farm – in particular the design, engineering, construction and commissioning of a full turnkey 66/11kV 65MW primary BES hub for Western Power Distribution, on behalf of Anesco.
In its unveiling of the shortlist online, Electrical Review emphasised the scale and variety of entries received – covering everything from national infrastructure projects to historically significant sites and commercial premises.
We’re thrilled to have been selected from so many entrants, and are delighted to be joining some industry-leading names in the final stages of judging.
Taking place on Thursday 24 May at the Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane in London, the awards ceremony is sure to be an exciting evening and we’re looking forward to the overall winners being revealed.
Commenting on the shortlist announcement, business development manager Danielle Tile said: “Receiving industry recognition for our engineering services is always a huge boost for the entire Smith Brothers team, and we’re thrilled to have been chosen as a finalist by Electrical Review for our work with Anesco at Drayton Manor.
“Accolades like these are by no means the main motivation behind our dedication to the business and the projects we work on, but they are certainly a bonus! Even being shortlisted is a huge achievement for the whole company – especially those who were responsible for the success of the assignment – and we’re all eagerly awaiting the final results.”
Keep your fingers crossed for us!
