Turnkey power engineering specialist sets sights on Ireland
We don’t stand still for long at Smith Brothers!
We’re always looking for ways to grow our client base and develop our service offerings, which is largely what drove our decision to expand our operations into the Republic of Ireland. And since opening an office in Dublin towards the end of last year, we’ve been steadily building our presence within this exciting new market.
Having been featured in Energy Ireland’s annual Renewable Energy Magazine 2017-2018, talking about broadening our horizons and bringing our services over to the emerald isle, more recently we’ve been delighted to be listed in this year’s Energy Ireland Yearbook.
In its 19th year, the yearbook is a key reference source for anyone involved in the Irish energy arena, including policy-makers, developers, regulators, FMs and service providers like us. It’s a must-have directory for the advancing market and it’s brilliant to have our name in such a valued publication, alongside many other trusted contractors.
But our strengthening presence in Ireland doesn’t stop there! We’ve also become a member of the Irish Solar Energy Association (ISEA) – an organisation focused on driving more attention to the value that solar energy has for Ireland’s economic and environmental future. With a large and ever-increasing portfolio of completed renewables assignments in the UK, we’re looking forward to developing this even further as part of the ISEA.
Leading on from this enrolment, our commercial director Dave Ogden has also been selected by the association to join its ‘Grid Working Group’. This collective of industry professionals comprises twelve members, and Dave’s involvement entails fortnightly conference calls with fellow associates, covering prominent matters within the Irish renewables market.
So, with all of this and plenty more going on, exciting times certainly lie ahead for Smith Brothers! Keep an eye out on here for further updates – we’ll be sharing some news about a big Irish project very soon…
